One of our favourite places for family gatherings and dog walks. Beautiful views with beautiful wildlife. The deers are always out and the horses graze freely. It does get extremely boggy so wellies … Full review by Leann C

Such a lovely walk in beautiful woodlands. We followed the red route over a 2mile track. Refreshing and picturesque area within the New Forrest. Unfortunately we didn’t see any deer at the sanctuary … Full review by JDH1874

Like many of the forestry commission recreation sites the bolder wood is designed as an access for all site . The access to the deer platform is down a slope which is fine going down but not so easy to get back up. As long as you have a certain amount of assistance with you it should be achievable.
