Pretty cool zoo! Lots of hills but the kangaroo bus can help you get around if you get tired. If you plan your route well, you can end up taking the Skyfari tram back to the entry/exit. Lots of s… Full review by CLS1108

This zoo is great. The animals appear to be treated very well with impressive habitats. There is so much to see, so you can spend a lot of time there. The free aerial tram and buses are great to get… Full review by Feona123

Hands down an excellent Zoo with amazing exhibits! We purchased the 2-Day Zoo pass to make sure we had ample time to see everything. Collectively, we spent 5-6 hours walking through and enjoying th… Full review by Immyness
Hi, visiting San Diego Zoo in June and wondering if the "Special Experiences" - such as "Crazy about Cats" or "Paws and Claws" (or others) are worth the expense. If so, which ones do you recommend for or against?

I recommend walking in and immediately taking the free GUIDED BUS TOUR, and then proceed to walk through the park. START BY LOOKING AT THE MAP, and planning your way, I recommend starting with the giraffes. Don’t forget that there’s an elevator!!! If anyone is disabled, you can rent an electric scooter for $65 for the day. Highly recommended. I also recommend that you go on to SKYFARI at the end of the day RT, to get an overview of the Zoo.
I want to also say that they do not take reservations!!! AND THEY CAN SELL OUT!!! We always try to start right when they place opens at 9:00 AM. It's a good time to start anyway …
I want to also say that they do not take reservations!!! AND THEY CAN SELL OUT!!! We always try to start right when they place opens at 9:00 AM. It's a good time to start anyway because the animals are wide awake, and usually eating. We also usually start by renting the scooter, then riding it over to the Bus Tour.

Hi Judy, Whenever I go to the SD Zoo, I rent one, as well as to the Safari Park; and to Sea World. These things are amazing. At the Zoo and the Safari Park, they are about $60, but at Sea World they are about $100. In fact, I was at Sea World last weekend, only for 4 hours, but still worth it!!!
What is in the San Diego 3-for-1 Pass? Does it include everything in the one day( ex. Guided Bus Tour, Kangaroo Express Bus, Skyfari Aerial Tram, and all regularly scheduled experiences. )?
A:
All things mentioned above are included with admission to the park! The 3 for 1 also includes admission to both parks. Hope this was helpful! - Kevin
Hello! Can the entire zoo be seen in 1 full day or would you recommend dedicating 2 days? This trip will likely be the first and only time I visit San Diego so don't want to miss anything. Thanks!!
A:
If you're doing just the zoo, it can be done in one day. If you're planning on going to the safari park also, allocate two days.
