The freedom to exchange views is essential to the mission of the university. Students and others are welcome to lawfully protest to make their voices heard.

Displaced students in Gaza have thanked pro-Palestinian protesters on U.S. college campuses for their "solidarity."

Four universities rocked by pro-Palestinian protests will hold graduations this weekend. Many others, including Columbia University, have scheduled ceremonies throughout the month and in June. Universities are working to enhance security while protesters contemplate walkouts and other possible actions.
